Program Manager – Community Development

Lisa comes to Goodwill Industries of South Mississippi with 20 years in the staffing and Human Resource industries. Lisa is our Program Manager of Community Development and our Project Coordinator with our Pathways2Possibilities Program. Lisa started her career in Washington DC in 1997 as a direct hire recruiter in the medical field and after relocating to the Mississippi Gulf Coast several years later, she went to work in New Orleans as a Staffing Manager. She gained experience in temporary staffing followed by recruitment in IT and banking. In 2008, she branched into the arenas of industrial, light Industrial and construction staffing and business development. She spent seven of her years in the staffing industry as a Branch Manager, working hands-on with recruiting and business development on the coast in MS. with maritime, administrative, industrial, light industrial, construction and environmental industries. Her last three years in the staffing industry, she worked as an Account Manager in the Engineering and IT arena. Lisa has her CSP/TSC Certification through the American Staffing Association.

She is currently attending Masters Leadership Training through the Gulf Coast Business Council and enrolled in Spanish classes. She is committee chair for Scouts USA Pack 212, Community Relations Committee through Gulfport Job Corps, Chamber Champions with the Mississippi Coast Chamber, and she’s also a mentor with the Back Bay Mission’s Bridges out of Poverty Program.

Special Project

We are hosting a Career and Resource Fair on Tuesday May 7th at the Ocean Springs Civic Center from 9am – 1pm. 

Thursday May 9th will be Goodwill Night at the Shuckers Stadium celebrating Goodwill Week.  We are selling tickets for $7 each  or if you make a donation you can purchase up to six tickets at $4 each.  For more information, call Lisa Parker at 228-863-2323 ext 13
